Description

Adol 250 mg: Each suppository contains Paracetamol 250 mg as the Active ingredient.

Excipients: Semi-synthetic glycerides of saturated fatty acids from C8. and C18

Paracetamol Suppositories are used for pain relief and treatment of fever in children above the age of 6 years.

Adol 250mg is suitable for children who find it difficult to take paracetamol as tablets or syrup.

How to use

Children aged 6 to 9 years (20-30 kg) – One 250 mg suppository.

Children aged 10 to 12 years (30-40 kg) – One to two 250 mg suppositories.

How to use Adol Suppositories:

1. Ensure the child’s bowels are empty before administering the suppositories.

2. Wash your hands well with clean water and detergent.

3. Place your child on:

o On either side with the knees bent toward the chest.

o On back with legs raised as if to change a diaper.

o On stomach with knees to chest or over your lap.

4. Hold the suppository between your thumb and index finger.

5. With your other hand, open the buttock cheeks until you can see the anal opening.

6. Gently insert the round end into the anal opening using the tip of your index finger. You will know if you

have inserted it far enough if it does not come right back out.

7. Gently hold the buttock cheeks closed to keep the child from pushing it out.

Precautions

1. Adol 250mg suppositories should not be used if the child is allergic to paracetamol or to the other main ingredient.

2. Do not administer more than two suppositories at one time.

3. Do not administer more than 6 suppositories in 24 hours.
