Altacef Syrup 50ml – Cefuroxime Oral Suspension Antibiotic for Infections

Altacef Syrup 50ml contains cefixime, a broad-spectrum third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in children and adults. It is effective against infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, ear, throat, sinuses, and certain gastrointestinal infections.

Cefuroxime works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, ultimately killing the bacteria and stopping the spread of infection. Altacef is commonly prescribed for conditions such as pneumonia, bronchitis, tonsillitis, otitis media, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and typhoid fever.

The syrup form is especially useful for children who cannot swallow tablets, with a pleasant taste to encourage adherence.

How to Use Altacef Syrup 50ml

  • Dosage depends on age, weight, and severity of infection.
  • Typical dose: 8 mg/kg/day in two divided doses for children.
  • Shake bottle well before use.
  • Complete the full course as prescribed.

Precautions

  • Use only under medical supervision.
  • Do not stop treatment early to avoid antibiotic resistance.
  • Inform doctor of any allergies to penicillins or cephalosporins.

Yes. For in-store pickups, we can release the order to a third party if:

How long does delivery take?

Orders placed between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM (Monday to Sunday) will be delivered within 3 hours.
Orders outside Nairobi will be delivered in 24 – 48hrs
Orders placed after 6:00 PM will be delivered the next day.
In case of any delays or delivery challenges, we will notify you as soon as possible.
