BP-Tel 40 ACT Tablets combine Telmisartan (40mg), an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and Amlodipine (5mg), a calcium channel blocker (CCB). This dual-action therapy is prescribed for the management of hypertension (high blood pressure) in patients who require more than one medicine for effective control.

Telmisartan works by blocking angiotensin II, relaxing blood vessels, and lowering resistance, while Amlodipine reduces the workload on the heart by widening arteries and improving blood flow. Together, they provide a complementary effect, reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney complications.

This combination is particularly useful for patients with resistant hypertension, diabetes-related cardiovascular risks, or those who have not achieved desired results with single-drug therapy.

Each pack contains 30 tablets, offering a convenient once-daily treatment regimen.

How to Use BP-Tel 40 ACT Tablets (30’s)

  • Usual adult dose: 1 tablet once daily, or as directed by your physician.
  • Swallow with water, with or without food.
  • Take at the same time every day.

Precautions

  • Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • Avoid in patients with severe liver disease, kidney failure, or very low blood pressure.
  • Caution in patients with heart failure or electrolyte imbalance.
  • Do not take with potassium supplements unless advised.

Possible Side Effects

  • Headache, dizziness, or flushing.
  • Swelling of ankles (due to Amlodipine).
  • Fatigue, low blood pressure.
  • Rare: kidney dysfunction, high potassium levels, severe allergic reaction.

Yes. For in-store pickups, we can release the order to a third party if:

How long does delivery take?

Orders placed between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM (Monday to Sunday) will be delivered within 3 hours.
Orders outside Nairobi will be delivered in 24 – 48hrs
Orders placed after 6:00 PM will be delivered the next day.
In case of any delays or delivery challenges, we will notify you as soon as possible.
